Just got the new T zipped solid 3f ultralight inner, couldn't be better service, even got me to cancel the order so he could apply a discount and it arrived in a jaw dropping week. Noticeably smaller than their other inner, and other than the internal pocket no fat to cut out. 336g, so from my perspective 16g heavier than a Tramplite inner and about 200 cheaper. Will get a pic once I cut my lawn, grass is so high it won't pitch! Plumber with a leeky tap....
Edit...

I ordered one of the new style too, arrived today. Not put it up yet.
I was hoping for :- better corner space, less tall (the older version is a bit too tall for my MYOG fly), bit more mesh, T zips and a few less grams.
Well I got 4 out of the 5  - but the new one weights 350gms whilst the old one is only 348g !! :wacky:.
It would have been nice to have 2 way sliders on the zips ……I'll see what I can arrange
- and of course the 'proof of the pudding' will be when I actually get to use it.
Construction all looks in good order.

2-way sliders shouldn't be too difficult: close the zip, cut it at the other end, insert your slider the right way round making sure you line up the coils evenly (that's the only tricky part, usually achieved after much swearing), sew a small piece of webbing to act as a stop.

Me, I'll not bother. Did just the one on the old inner and had my fill of replacing/adding n.3 sliders. ;)

I found the 3f inner hight just right with a 125cm pitched fly. Wonder why yours is slightly heavier? I gave mine the once over to see if there was any weight to be saved and only came up with the pocket, single figure savings there, they have clearly tried to make this light even down to the thinner draw cord on the stuff sack.

So, now you edit your posts to sneak your Tramplite porn in, eh? ;)

Never seen 2way sliders on a T zip set up before - hardly necessary? Ymmv

I like to be able open the zipper at the top only for venting, and at the far bottom corners for emptying the pee bottle without letting the midges in - us females have much bigger issues having a pee in midgey conditions than males :sour:. Sorry guys if that is a bit more info. than you wanted to know.

Difference is a few %. Easy to accumulate the odd gram here and there…… longer tapes, bit more thread, cut a wee bit bigger………
I'll have a closer look at some point and see if anything needs trimmed :whistling:.

3F UL Gear (1 Person) Mid Shelter (2017)

Decided to give this a go after contemplating various China UL tents. Crossing fingers for a two-way zip as getting a understood/straight answer or pictures from the sellers is near impossible. Their other singe pole shelter has a two-way zip so hoping this one does as well.

Picked up from PO yesterday. Disappointed to find out it doesn't have a two-way zip but quality seems very good. Got stinking hangover today so not had chance to have a pitch in garden yet. Will give it a go in next couple of days and post a thread.

What's with the 2-way zip thing on an inner? Maybe we should ask 3F to integrate a pee bottle flap in their future inners. ;)
