Take Suggdozer - he looks quite strong

The Prophet should easily handle it....so you don't need anything.

I'll dig out my Tom Harrison mapset for you nearer the time ;)

Was tempted to go for camo, but in the end i went for the thicker .74oz in dark green.

They're looking to change both the system they use to keep the doors open/held back and closed.

For keeping the doors held back/open they're using longer toggles rather than the current square toggles

For the door closure system they're looking to use hooks instead of the current system with carabiners.
I think this is where the hold up is, they were sent some of the hooks but they were the wrong size.

Asked him to hold it till mid May in the hope the replacements arrive, if not then he'll send me the tent as is.

Not a major change by any stretch, but fingers crossed both systems with make it a noggin easier.

If you're around the Lakes at the beginning of June you are more than welcome to have a look

Great news you managed to track it down before your trip :) Have you had chance to have a play with the Duplex yet? Just wondered what you ended up with for the door closure?

Thanks, cutting it a bit to fine really.

Took it out the stuff sack to weigh it, but apart from that i've not touched it mate.

As far as i understand it the newer door closure system will be using a hook rather than a carabiner, apparently there was some problem with the supply so i've had to ask Zpacks to ship it with the old carabiner system.

As far as i know it's only the hook that will change, the cordage routing and system will be the same, so shouldn't make a vast difference.

Only thing that might be different is, i think mine should have a different toggle for holding the doors in the open position, not checked though.

The older type had a square toggle, the newer system uses these

Looking at the Zpacks site they also seem to sell the duplex with internal pockets now as well, again no idea if mine has these or not.

Fingers crossed the weather is good enough for some tyre checking and checking kit out

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Glad you managed to pick it up, hopefully get chance to have a look over in the Lakes :)

:D

Bit tough opening up tents in a apartment with kids and a dog running round :p

Think i'll have a clear living room in a few hours though, so as long as nothing else comes up i might unroll it and take a gander :whistling:

Fingers crossed, don't mind a couple of days of rain, but it'd be good if the weathers nice enough to sit around and have a chat Monday afternoon/night though.

So i opened it up, i have the new toggles that hold the door open

They also sent the tent with the new pockets, one on each side

Door close system is the same, same carabiners, same system.

Gonna be tricky clipping the door in with one hand, as i'll need to find some way of holding the door while i clip the carabiner in, i'm sure i'll find some system that works though.

Just spent some time making up the guy lines, using the line locs.
Need to pick up a small carabiner for the side of the tent, bought one of those cap things that fits over your hiking pole, but i don't want the line attached all the time, so would like to clip it in when i need it.

I was amazed at the size of those holes when Will first posted that, but then I was more horrified by the river that drove him out. :D
Think his friend's Duplex survived and it seems both guys are still using them.
