Is Oookworks back in business?

Saw this and posted the same question in the random thread. Great if someone is running with this as I’d be interested in a new inner.
Yep would be great if so. I do feel that, if it has been bought by someone, they should make it clear that that's the case. Will be interesting to see if what they start producing is of a similar quality to what they used to.

I think its still Sean. I don't see how someone would buy a brand so damaged with so many customers who lost money. Furthermore if someone had bought it, the under new management statement would be key to rectifying the trust issues. Time will tell which I guess

I appreciate all that’s been said and done. Sean has never done me any harm, but then I never gave him that opportunity. We all make mistakes, and many will take wrong turns in life.
I understand bitterness by anyone who was given poor service, I would probably be just as unforgiving. However, when someone is trying to turn back on course, they will need support to maintain it.

Two things from the site make me think it's not under new management
"I have some exciting new ultralight products, new to OookWorks (things that I’ve been testing in Wales and Scotland for the last two years)."

"Exciting times as most of the family are involved now. Hope you’ll stick with us."
But don't know, they just seem like strange comments from someone who is new to the business to me

To my recollection the previous problems were chiefly an inability to meet / produce customised orders. It would appear that the (New) business model has changed to one of producing stock items for sale rather than taking customised / bespoke orders. .... hopefully this will alleviate the vast majority of previous concerns.

I’ve ordered some kit from them today.
TBH I don’t want any UL kit, it’s all flimsy and ‘orrible, but I would support any of you if you were in the same boat.

I'm the new owner of OookWorks. Thanks for the positive comments above, of which I can take no credit of course.
After starting to make ultralight tarps and having loved OookWorks gear for years, when I saw that Sean wanted to pass his amazing designs to someone, it was a no-brainer.
I'm taking things slowly at the moment with new products in the shop every couple of weeks or so, a pace that will help me avoid the trouble Sean got into. Nests will be made early next year.
