Acetone seems to work very well to remove glue residue. I had an old Haglofs soft shell top with glue residue where a pocket fell off. Persistent / patient rubbing with acetone soaked cotton buds eventually removed all sign of the glue.As @Build-a-Bear says, it leaves behind a rectangle of glue-residue on the fleece which is unsightly, but it won't affect functionality as it's not at all tacky.
Disclaimer: test on fabric first to check it doesn't dissolve..., and best done outside / in a well ventilated area.
