Keeping getting emails

I keep getting emails saying a thread im watching has been posted on.
I went to settings and clicked to not receive email alerts but im still getting them.
Anyone got any advice?

Click on your username next to Inbox, then Preferences

Untick "Automatically watch threads ..." and "receive email notifications ..."

That should do it

Ok ill try that Rich. only thing is that i kind of wanted the alert when i came on the forum just not in my email inbox.

Is there a way of watching threads without getting the emails?
I like the alerts when I visit the forum, I just don't need the emails.

Yes.
Turned off all alerts too.
So now I don't get alerts when I visit the forum, but I'm still getting the emails!?!?

What have you got selected in Alert Preferences?

I turned then all off, but that didn't help, it did the opposite of what I desired (no alerts whilst looking at the forum, but still email notifications), so I turned them back on.
Now experimenting with going to each thread I watch, unwatching them, then watching then again (but with email notification turned off), see if that works.

Reckon I've wrangled it into submission.
I went to my All Watched Threads page, selected them all, then chose "Disable all email notifications".
Bit of a faff, with many pages of watched threads, but it seems to have done the job.

Unticking "Automatically watch threads ..." and "receive email notifications ..." only seemed to work for new watched threads, not the ones I was already watching.
