Good news for me as I managed to shear off 50% of the lugs from my final pair of Roclite 295s (the special order beigy-brown ones that somebody posted about a few years ago).I live near (Inov8's) offices, and dropped into their factory store the other day. Apparently they’ve decided to pay more attention to the walking market and there are new models on the way. No announcements yet, but they hinted they are based on the old Roclite, which is much mourned in certain circles. So you might want to keep your eyes open.

They'll bring out a non gtx version too
Exactly the same last and upper design as the Terrocs but a different sole unit.I no longer remember why, but I always went for the Terrocs and Roclite 295s rather than the Flyrocs. Didn't they use a different last or something?

There was a little bit - maybe 20 minutes.Been scree running a lot? Either that or “pick your feet up, when you walk lad“
The karstic limestone here is tough on the soles, but I haven't had others trashed quite as much and as quickly. And the first three days of the last trip were relatively soft.Wow. That's a lot of wear!
Are you walking on rough rock all the time?
Soles after 14 days' use, 270km:
The guy's a walking billboard for Inov8 and other companies. This month's TGO or Trail magazine (I forget which) has yet another advertorial with him adventuring out with gear almost all exclusively supplied by one gear company. I'd take anything he says (particularly in regards to Inov8) with a very large pinch of salt.Coincidentally, I only discovered the INOV8 Roclite series, with their Graphene infused soles, just this morning, when looking for bargains in the Sale section of UOG. They still have some G-370's in small sizes (8 and 8.5) for £114.99...Too small for me though.
I did a google search afterwards and found they are now about two generations of Roclite along, with each being several tens of grams lighter than the generation before it.
Then I found a news article on INOV8's website where a guy called James Forrest beat the unsupported record for walking all 214 Lake District Wainwrights peaks, in a single pair of G-345's.
He covered the 328 miles in 14 days and 11 hours, and he didn't seem to have any bad things to say about the 345's afterwards, so they must have been pretty good:
Hiker James Forrest Sets Self-Supported Wainwright Record
James aims to complete the 328-mile expedition, which includes 36,000m of ascent, inside 18 days. It's believed the current self-supported record is 25 days.www.inov-8.com
