Thanks Paul, that seem to be a useful Flickr alternative (for now ).imgbb.com
I felt exactly the same, together with constant requests for monies I deleted my account.
I have 1,020 photos on Flickr. At $50 per year for pro membership, I'll be deleting 20 photos and looking for a new way to share photos.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems unfair for companies to get people to sign up under one set of conditions and then change the rules. As with Photobucket, some people are going to find that they've wasted a lot of time and effort.
Very true @PhilHoThe problem is people are not good judges of their own images. But I guess that is because some pictures have added value that only they can see.
I only use Flickr as a way of posting photos on here, hence I'm reluctant to pay $50 a year.
Has anyone done the upgrade?
I keep getting send round in circles when I try.
SneakyNo, I went through and deleted all the photos I don't use for my blog since that is all I used Flikr for. Since I have four Yahoo email accounts I will just log in under another one and open a new Flikr account
Just wish I could work out how to do it!
The link in the email gets me to here,How far do you get?
Does Google charge for photo storage? Reading some of the posts on the Flickr forums they quote Google at $100 for 2TB, Apple $120 and DropBox $150
Not sure I can be bothered moving again, the last fiasco from Photobucket was bad enough.
What's it like for sharing photos on here? Can you get a BBcode?Yes and no.
So you have a 15GB allowance for no extra payement ( just your soul but that is standard). That includes what you store in emails and drive. But in google photos, pics up to 16MP are unlimited ( you can set it up up so that it uploads stuff to that size, or or can upload original size and if its bigger it counts as part of your allowance).
If you need more storage you pay 16 quid a year for 100GB or 80quid for 1T. There are monthly plans with more storage ( and more money).
A year of photos I actually want to store is like 2GB ( the rest I wont mind if I loose) so I am fairly happy paying nothing or 16 pounds a year.
Me too, but I didn't try extensively. All I could get Trek-lite to post wasI struggled with that

When I tried, I could post a link to the photo but I couldn't find a way to actually display the photo on the forum. No idea, I know it creates links but not sure about the BB code..
