Connector to make an A-Frame with two poles

Thanks for that.. understood. I've inherited a full size mld mesh inner (j door) and had been pondering the faff involved (together with midge swarms) with putting it up inside as you have to get the centre pole inside the net tent and centralized /square before you put the outside shelter up as once the pole is in place and under tension theres no shifting it ... so that's why I'm turning to trying the A pole idea in midge season.

Going back a few years.... I made mine with a push fit elbow and some cut down carbon golf clubs from a charity shop. The shafts were pretty good but tapered. I've also used sections of cheap carbon walking poles. If using pole handles down... A length of line between the handles can stop them trying to spread, or a peg through the handle loops.

Recently, I used tips up into the lid of a deodorant bottle with a clove hitch...
I used two poles lashed together for one side and a barebones carbon pole for the other.
Theres numerous ways to redneck an A-frame.
