Wider 4 season mat

Hi all.

my current mat is the Therm-a-Rest xtherm sv and it’s 63cm wide

As I usually end up on my back, I find my arms sneaking out of my quilt and getting cold so I’m wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of a similar r rated mat (think it’s around 7 as it’s a 4 year old mat) that’s maybe a few inches wider?

As I’m a quilt owner I’d need something that doesn’t get cold spots too

Looked at the new xtherm NXT and it looks perfect apart from the price tag

any other wide alternatives?

Thru Hiker
normal xtherm sv is 50cm and 6,3cm thick. wide max one is 63cm
im not sure anyone makes bigger single mats in perfomance category.
i've got MAX SV L exactly because it's the largest winter mat

I have an Exped Ultra 7R LW, however, at 65cm wide, it is not that much wider. Double the weight of a Downmat standard size mummy, but it is very comfortable though!
(face down sleeper with a quilt).

There is also the Nemo Extreme, 64 cm wide (but after having a Nemo Tensor split along a seam for about two feet, I am in no hurry to try one...).

Well I’ll be damned.

just measured my mat and it is the regular one at 50cm.
Could’ve sworn blind I ordered a wide mat at the time. No more late night purchasing for me.

I suppose I’m still after the same thing then
Might even be some bargains on the older xtherm sv large knocking about with the newer model out

The exped 7R MW gives me same width and enough length at only 50g more than the xtherm large .

any cold spots and how noisy is it relatively speaking?

No cold spots - I have not experienced any cold spots on Exped mats, just bits of the body falling off the sides of standard sized mummy mats!
And silent, no baffles or metallic foil involved.
