Same here, I carry a fewOn the question of yucky tablets, I still carry some in my FAK as a backup in case of filter failure because they weigh very little (7g for 30 x 1L tablets). They're Chlorine Dioxide instead of Chlorine, so don't taste anywhere near as bad.
Bonus view of today's Leccinum scabrum (Birch Bolete) embarking on dehydration...Gravity filtering some water for dinner with my trusty 3L Cnoc through my HydroBlu and into my loosely threaded no-name 1L “quick” bottle. Fast and faff-free.

Do you just pop them in the oven at a low temp? I occasionally have a glut of delicious Parasol mushrooms and would love to store some.Bonus view of today's Leccinum scabrum (Birch Bolete) embarking on dehydration...

Yes you can dehydrate in an oven. A low temp like 50c and just leave the handle of a wooden spoon in the door to create a little air gap.Do you just pop them in the oven at a low temp? I occasionally have a glut of delicious Parasol mushrooms and would love to store some.
Yes - about 35C with the door closed in a fan oven. The higher temperatures will turn Beech Boletes black (doesn't affect flavour but it's not the best look). I don't know how well Parasols dehydrate though - their liquid content is very high.Do you just pop them in the oven at a low temp? You could try the Miniwell L630...It's a tiny bit larger in diameter than a Sawyer Mini, with at least twice the flow rate, and unlike the Sawyer it has a standard 28mm female bottle thread at both ends, not just one end.Thread resuscitation. I’m looking for a filter that fits on a solid bottle. I can’t live with the floppy bottle syndrome. I can’t keep them in the pockets of my rucksacks. Having been out in fine weather over the past few days, I want a filter system that works. I have a CNOC bladder and a sawyer filter, which is fine for camp when I’m lying down and gravity is doing its work, but it’s a bit of a pfaff when I’m struggling manfully on In the middle of a walk. Lifestraw? Anything else.
