This is a discontinued model but I'm hoping somebody may have one in gear collection they're not using?

Hi ADz, I have a VANGUARD VGT-303 tripod which may suit if you can't find a Velbon V-Pod:
lots of pix of the VGT online eg:
VANGUARD photo tripod - Vgt 303!- Boxed - New

Mine's as new & fully working, 515g, 29cm folded, 122cm extended -open to reasonable offers if interested.

I wrote about my love of Velbon Tripods a little while ago (http://nielsenbrown.com/2015/01/18/what-works-for-me-camera-tripods/) and it does seem they are no longer available. However, one reader did offer an alternative with similar weights should you be unsuccessful in locating one. See the comments in my blog entry for the link to cullmann

Thanks, I think I prefer the look of the VPod but that Cullman Digipod does look like a nice alternative

I have a Slik Compact II but The Vpod/Digipod look much more compact and half the weight.
