My friends garage was broken into and thousand of pounds worth of tools were stolen. He phoned 999, was told to ring 111 and 3 days later a PSCO turned up and he eventually got a crime number. They advised him to have extra security lights and better locks. He lives in a large town around 5 miles from a large police station.
I’d be very surprised if a landowner checking his sheep took umbrage at a wild camper, ask them to leave, they refused and he them phoned the police and then got response within a few hours! Quite a miracle if that police person would park, walk a few miles into a moorland in the dark to ask the wild camper to leave and then arrests them if they refused!

My mate was a copoer, actually won a national comp, very popular even with the toe rags. Where I live he and all the experienced officers have been moved on, the station closed and redeveloped. To start with he was given a broom cupboard in the fire station, but not allowed to use their kettle for some reason. He's working security in a university now.
The increase in violent crime is surprisingly small given what's been done to the Leviathan imho.
The chances of getting a cop out before you've had time to have a cup of tea and watched the sun rise, let alone pack up I'd guess is slim.
I'd be far more worried the farmer would turn to some 'country justice'.

I wonder if it's possible that a pic could be taken of us in the criminal act of premeditated grass flattening and upload it to Crimestoppers (facial recognition software)?

Look the Queen owns all the UK, in fact all the Commonwealth, if she says move your tent, you move your tent! :p

Going to have to get even more discreet and under the radar then. Fortunately Garmin have the answer for smart watch wearers ;)

    Introducing: Garmin tactix Delta

"Brand new from Garmin, the tactix Delta is a GPS Smartwatch which passes military criteria. For the tactical user, stealth mode, night vision compatibility and a dual-position GPS are invaluable"
