Hello

Wood Goblin

Day Walker
Hello everyone,

Recently discovered this fine forum and thought I would join. I am a reasonably(ish) experienced hillwalker, bit of mountaineering, kayaking, caving, love all forms of camping, especially wild and have been quite into bushcraft. Probably like many here, become increasingly interested in extending my range, pushing a bit further etc. Interested in learning more as I try to rely less on kit and move a bit further and a bit less weighted down.

Still loads to learn - managed to get bitten to shreds last weekend because I didn't take a net with me for my local trail, the Mersey Way. Mozzies like frigging pterodactyls, who knew. Another issue there, is that I seem to have a slightly masochistic attachment to bivi bags. Might just be tight and put off by the £££ on good light mountain tents!

In the meantime, I have developed a very real addiction to putting together little brew kits. Pleased to see I am not the only one around here. First thing I noticed was Hedley who makes Speedster Stoves seems to be a big presence around here, and I am a big fan of his system.

Cheers all.

George
