Just had a message stating eBay UK has now removed all transaction fees from privates sellers... this May help those selling make what It's listed as.
Good news I think, as those fees could often make a sale not worth the effort

not sure if anyone wanted to know.. but hey

I've heard anecdotally that people are leaving Ebay in droves due to scammers. I myself left a few months ago, after having an account for 25 odd years. I sold some clothing for my partner and one item I got feedback saying 'lovely top, thanks!' Maybe naively I thought that meant they received it and thought it was lovely. Almost two months later the buyer somehow reversed their bank transaction saying they didn't receive it and I got hit with paying out for both the top and their bank fees because I couldnt provide evidence they received it. I couldn't leave feedback for them because too much time elapsed! Ebay were proper nasty chasing me for the fees as well so I've now quit and tbh I don't really miss it. There are so many scams, both buyers and sellers now you have to be really careful on there. So yeah, sorry about the whinge, I'm a little bitter about ebay lol!

I always send items tracked.
I guess that I should take a screen shot of "the delivery" for future reference as the tracking data is wiped after a certain length of time.

There's an option to 'print the proof of delivery' on the tracking page, as the tracking info is not accessible after 30 days. I save the proof of delivery notes.

I always send tracked as well.

There's an issue with 'proof of delivery' and that's that it only proves the package was delivered. Not what was inside it - and one of the scams are that the contents don't match up to the item bought. This scam works both ways (seller doesn't send anything or what was bought or the buyer claims the box was empty or not as described). In both cases the package may have proof of delivery.

It's why I won't send expensive items (I sell a lot of photographic gear) by post except to a reputable dealer (MPB for my camera gear).
