Says this in the blurb on all their items they sell...

International Buyers - Please Note:

-Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
-Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
-These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
-We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Iirc someone said they have never been charged

Anyone know if the Ebay stuff 'from Japan' gets stung for import and excise duty?

Seem to recall someone telling me they've ordered a few things and never been charged?...
last thing I ordered from Japan (locusgear) was a **** load of eastons, no import. I had my soris marked 1/3 of cost which helped immensely 🙄

I have ordered kit from Japan and it was picked up for customs. However, the company (LG) only declared the value at 50% so not too painful an experience.
I've been caught by customs with stuff from Japan.....I suspect that with the move by eBay, AEx, etc to automatically pay the VAT on goods from China it'll give move opportunity for customs personnel to look at stuff from elsewhere. e.g. the amount of goods from US slipping under the radar seems to be decreasing :(
