General question for Xmid users here. How weather capable are they? What's the worst conditions you've been out in?

In general I'd say very weather capable. They pitch low so the wind doesn't get under the outer; long (modified) apex guidelines provide a lot of stabilisation - the poles barely move in strong winds. So I'd not be concerned about the structure of the tent apart from reaching extreme condtions where the fabric could not take the strain. It is easy to pitch in the wind too.
But... the large panels do bow in the wind (I find it an inconvenience rather than a major issue) and if you want a proper 4 season mountain fortress then this isn't it. But in most circumstances I really don't give it much thought.
I posted a video of the X-Mid in wind (badly orientated to the wind direction) further up the thread, which hopfully illustrates the point. It was fine inside the rent at the time...

XM Pro will be around $600 in the first batch and probably going up a bit later due to increase in DCF pricing following other manufactures raises.

DD custom guys now available.

Our premium Reflective Ironwire line is built in the USA by Lawson Equipment. It is equivalent to their Ironwire cord, except we have added a 3M Scotchlite Reflective reflective tracer. This adds night time visibility which is key for a tent application.

to cut a long story short my XMID 1 is now up for sale. It seems I don't have enough privileges to sell here, so look out for it on ebay today if anyone is interested!

You need to spend £5 to become a supporter of Trek Lite and then you can sell on the two 'For Sale' areas (one for paid members only).

You'd pay more than £5 in fees to sell an Xmid on Ebay and Trek Lite is something worth supporting. Also, Trek Lite has much nicer UI than the Ebay **** show. An Xmid will sell very quickly on here.

To upgrade your account (on a computer anyway) log into Trek Lite, click on your username, and you should see an option for 'Account Upgrades'.

From Dan:

The plan is to put the X-Mid 1 and 2 on sale in early January with delivery a few weeks later. We'll give a heads up email about 1 week before, and then the actual sale will be 3 batches (probably Mon, Wed, Fri). They'll sell out quickly for sure, but hopefully it's hours and not minutes.
Then the X-Mid Pro 2 pre-sale will follow about 2 weeks later.

 Any indication on the price of the X-Mid Pro 2?

Checked with Dan and he said that the solid inners are designed and ready to go, but due to covid and supply chain issues won't be available until late 2022.

Are there any details published (whisteblowed ;)) about the new X-Mid Pro? I guess it won't provide a solid inner, but nevertheless will it host two wide sleeping mats?

No solid inner. Slightly narrower inner compared to XM2. 2 tapered wide mats should fit, but not necessarily rectangular ones.
