Our review sites based in California or Utah would be like someone from southern Italy giving rain gear and shoe advice to people in Scotland.
Welcome... So have you done the Laugavegur?!Hello to all Trek-liters and lite trekkers! I've been lurking here for quite a while and/or I thought I had introduced myself already, but apparently not. So. I live in Finland, love hiking in Lapland and Britain (especially Scotland) and am owned by a dog who usually accompanies me on my domestic trips all year round. I'll be walking across Scotland next month (again) and trying to whip up some fancy thingies like a lightweight sleeping mat sheet that turns into a chair, a rain skirt and a water bottle holder before that. I've spent days reading through the MYOG threads here and they have been very helpful!
Thanks and no, I've never been to Iceland. Yet.Welcome... So have you done the Laugavegur?!

Hi and welcomeGood day everyone. I'm Allan from South Yorkshire.
My passion is fell running and
I came across Trek-Lite after researching Hiking and fastpacking? whilst being fuelled on a meat based diet.
After reading various threads and getting distracted by other posts, i belive i could learn a great deal from you all as a community. Feeling that 'lurking' is no longer feeling comfortable, I've decided to see if there's room on a peg for my cap.
Thank you all for the knowledge and experience shared openly.
Kind Regards from the South Shire,
Allan
