I think that's without the pole hood and carry bags

Does anyone use the pole hood ?? :o o: I just seam sealed and added extra loops to tie the guys too - works.
A 'Pole Hood' seemed a kack-handed way to deal with the issue.

The pole hood is useful to add stability to the pole arch if you use my linelok tensioning mod https://blogpackinglight.wordpress.com/2008/08/13/laser-comp-mods/

I agree it's a poor design. I'd prefer an Akto style sleeve with double guys. That said, I've not used my Laser Comp in a long while as I prefer my other shelters.

Guying mods on my TN Laser - best piccy I could find - hope it is clear.

I put double guys on the ends as well. Mines an earlier version without the extra end guying points. TBH, I found the ends a bit cramped so moved on to other shelters. If the end opposite the door had an A frame and was a bit higher, it would improve it a lot.

I use geargrams.com

How's the list coming Mole?

Not at all:D

Weekdays I work, be tired, cook, go out/socialise etc Weekends I do the same (with more emphasis socialising) and walk/backpack.

I'll get round to it sometime.

I did weigh my pack last weekend before leaving - with 2 days/nights food and a litre of water, inc a winter bag and mat (Tundra -10c 1160g and Exped synmat 890g) it weighed a fraction under 9kg.

Must say you've managed a good pitch there, Cathy, considering all the rock.
How was Jura?

That pitch was in Choir Mhic Fhearchir - I pitched in the dark and spent 30 mins wandering about desperately looking for a spot :arghh: - I had to rearrange some of the local 'environs' to get a big enough patch . The 'W' arrangement of the end guys works well to pull the big Fly panels taut.

Jura - fabby :):):):):):):) - I'm much too tired to sort piccies just now.

Just packed for the weekend overnighter -2 days on the Moor with some of our younger Explorers.

Base weight inc fuel is 4.5kg. quite surprised and pleased.
never thought I'd be keen on the laser but it's working out ok. not had a morning condensation shower yet though...

Still no list El ;)
