You can sit in the vestibule, while waiting for the dark to bury the body.
Also from AE, for anyone planning summer walks in Scotland.
Hmm... Highland hiking or fetish wear?
Christ I wouldn't be caught dead in that. Look like a trawlered fish.
I once saw a woman near Poolewe walking her dog in something similar. One of these and mesh mitts I think. [added] She did have ordinary clothes on underneath
Fetishpacking, feshtpacking for short.
Second Chance hiker's (from YouTube) ex-girlfriend Little Bee wore a mesh jumpsuit thing on PCT 2019. She clearly hated mosquitos.
I have one of those Beaton's midge jackets. It is easy to laugh, but when the midges are bad, perspective rapidly changes
A lot of Osprey on Sportpursuit. Among others, Exos 38 £70, Talon 44 £70, Eja 48 £75, Eja 38 £70.
Lightish rather than ultralight packs, but good prices.
Mud and Blood are offering half price bargain lightweight running gear (good for hiking too) designed in God's own country. Free delivery too.
I just took delivery of a hybrid jacket and I'm pretty impressed with the quality!
I thought I'd just check that you understood the definition of "God's own country". Little did I realise that it would be so close to home. I made an offer on a barn needing renovation there over 30 years ago.
What is the sizing like please? Looking at the hybrid too and normally take a med in rab/montane gear.
I bought the XL and it fits well (not baggy or too tight). I'm 6.2 and 100kgs. Can't comment on the medium I'm afraid, but they have a sizing chart on their website that may help.
As a side note, the arms are a fairly close fit stretchy material like powerstretch. The chest and back bit are looser. It's a good long length.
Just checked the trust pilot reviews and they don't look good at all. Did you experience any issues?
I couldn't find them on Trustpilot, but they have a good rating here...
I can only talk about my experience. I ordered BH Monday, was wearing by Wednesday lunchtime, clothing is decent quality and price is low. Think I'm going to order some of their shorts too.
You can also get the same deals from https://www.sportpursuit.com/sales/mud-blood-trail-running-apr21
MudandBlood - They are extremely local to me and sponsor some local races, or did before the pandemic. I've not heard any negative reports about them and think I would if there were any.
That's a strange one... When I clicked on the link in work yesterday I was directed to Sub sports for some reason... That's where the poor reviews came from. My bad as like you say mud n blood look fine. I'll order a med. Thanks.
Rab alpine bivy down at £135 on sportspursuits.
A solid price for a decent (event) bivy. Especially since rab’s latest version is now Pertex Shield and £300 !
Surely that should be "****ing"
