Alternatives to OMM gopod?

Used these since the start of the year, I'm sold on having a couple of bottles sitting at either side of my chest now, but I bloody hate velcro - they're eating my pack straps, and when you do take the pack off they slide down and are a faff to get back up (it's the chest strap that keeps them in position. The 2 packs I use them on are both Osprey - Exos and stratos, and they don't have anything really to clip a siamese clip onto, so the treadlite one won't work without modifying.

Any ideas or recommendations?

Cheers,

I use Treadlite ones with an Exos. I fasten the clip to the loop on the straps to hold a bladder drinking tube in place (at least, I assume that's what its purpose is).

I use 3mm shock cord and cord locks. I'll post a pic later.

Ditto, I have the tradlite pouches (no velcro) and two shock cord loops going approx the 'brim' of the pouch and one around the neck of the bottle. Sits pretty stable.

I was just going to say that my ULA packs use this method, I don't like heavy water bottles swinging about in front of my face so I don't use them for that, they do make great map holders though.

Klattermusen do a bottle pouch with a variety of back connectors. Will try to find link and details after work but they were under accessories for their packs. It was more of a pouch with lid rather than mesh pocket so likely to weigh more.
