A visit to the PHD factory

Just literally a 20 minute walk from my house the factory. The garage I use for MOT,s is just below it in the mill. The garage owner used to be able to get slight seconds and cheap deals.
 
And I was going to list a PHD 5c 2016 1000fp, 7D summer collection quilt for sale, but doesn't seem much love for them.
It's a nice quilt though I do prefer my Nunatak 5c quilt over it, I hear their clothing is better?

Dunno, I have a couple of jackets that seem ok. But certainly wouldn't of liked to pay full price for them.

Agree - I bought mine - either secondhand or in their sale.
They are expensive - too expensive at full price. The cost of manufacturing here in UK.

I love the PHD gear that I have accumulated over the years.

I've had no quality issues.

I stopped buying more PHD gear a good few years ago: mainly because I didn't need anything.

Without being too exact, I'd guess that quite a few bits of my gear have now doubled, or more, in price - for the equivalent specs etc., ( one example is a WafeLight Vest which I paid £97 for ).
 
Would love to see the templates they use for their ready to wear seeing as my medium was massive and fitted my mate whose about 18st and 6' 7" !!! I really was looking forward to it but was surprised when I rang to say oh I think you've sent me the wrong size for them to say no that's the size. I would have needed an xxs by their sizing 🥺 got a Cruz instead...much happier 😊
 
I’m happy with my Minim 400. I bought it as a used item but spec’d to my size with extra fill and half the cost. I’d need to be more touchy-feely at their showroom/outlet to be convinced to buy new one.
 
Love the PHD Icelandic +5c quilt I'd picked up in their last sale. Use various garments by PHD and always look out for their sales. Two former cared for sleeping bags were popular when I'd decided to resell.
