Well. My issue hasn't resolved itself overnight🙄. It's obviously irrelevant to my browser type.


On another note, I see Latest "Profile Posts" are displayed at the bottom of the first "Latest Posts" page.


Given that it appears that half the profile posts appear to be Private Messages
is there a way not to see them? It's just irrelevant clutter.

( I don't understand what the point of others being able to post to your profile posts is as opposed to a PM? I guess others don't either given that many messages are just really PM material)

Also, the "New Profile Posts" button at the top gives it elevated unneeded priority?

So:

Logged in:

Page nav buttons not there
Treklite logo not visible ( it was on Friday)

Ha ha. Far more chance of a new shelter than a new phone unless I lose or break it.
(It is pretty new. )


And cache is cleared now multiple times.

I'll just have to accept that the "tech advisors" on here are as clueless as I am 😉

I'm not keen on that either, it's on my list of things to look at later

I think profile posts are a carry over from FB (although I've never used it so not sure) and other social media platforms, I think they're supposed to be used so you can update people on what you're doing at that time, like a status update.

But yeah it's clear some people use them instead of a PM :)

Could you borrow another device just to try and login and see if it's any different?

Just logged in on my partner's phone using a different browser.
Exactly the same.
It's at the treklite end rather than any device I'm using.

Problem solved.

I had changed the style preference to "default" rather than "live" as it had bigger text for reading.

Changing it back to "Live" sorts it out

Guess it'll be the same for everyone?

Has the option to change style disappeared for you now?

Hi Rich, It seems BBCode is now blocked or disabled from new signatures? I was trying to do a signature and there is no hyperlink button and the BBCode for link just gets ignored when displaying via a post. It changes the bbcode link to the hyperlink title but doesn't make the word clickable.

Oddly it still seems to be rendering previous signatures that use the bbcode?

Always have to scroll down or use the ‘posted on date/time’ link to go to latest.

There used to be an option that let you select "Newest first" or "Oldest first" for messages but I can't find it in the new set of preferences.

But you would be reading backwards?

Either way if you're on the "What's New" page you will see link to latest commnt in that thrad and it will take you direct.

Sorry Bob I misunderstood, I thought you meant the order latest posts are displayed, rather than within a thread

I’ll have a look and see what I can find
