The "what have you made today" thread

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to use as tie out.
I have some 12mm grossgrain ribbon and 25mm polyester webbing.
If i want to sew it trough the seam on the ridgeline and on the hem, 25mm seems to wide. The hem and seam is about 10mm when done.
But webbing is probably more durable.

What do you guys use?

25mm would be a bit chunky, I've got thin grosgrain on my summer tarp, hasn't been a problem but I avoid my lines sliding through. Do you have any D rings or line locks for the RL/ tieouts?

Its 10mm, which has been strong enough for what is needed.
I used a larks foot to attach shock cord loops that contain the line lock so there is almost no movement/friction on the tieouts.

Thanks! I was thinking the same. I have 1mm dyneema cord. It will tear the grosgrain pretty quickly I think so is was thinking of using shock cord as well.

My first hammock and tarp pitch... Don't laugh probably made a ton of mistakes :angelic:
I don't have a possibility to hang in the garden, so I went to the park :).

I used toggles for the tarp ridgeline

They work pretty good. Lightweight and with the cord wrapped around a few times it doesn't give a mm.

Tarp:

Peak bag, I don't know if I'll use it. It's not very easy stuff something in it. But on the other it could function as a pillow too (if I need one..)

The peak shelves in Dutch's Chameleon are clever, they need some extra hardware but I really them.

I switched over to a Chameleon a few years ago and thought I'd really miss the shelf on my WBBB, but they do work really well and hold a decent amount of bits.

Looks great, nice one. I found I got a lot of shoulder squeeze when I tried hammocking but your photos are making me want to give it another go.

That looks great, and at a very respectable weight, there's a real benefit to the sil poly.
How do those toggles on the tarp work?
