Hi folks,

My background is in mountaineering but I seem to have caught the hiking bug.

I have done two hikes this year: the West Highland way a crossing the Bayuda Desert in the Sudan

I've realised I lack lightweight hiking gear so the Odyssey begins.

How busy was the WHW?

I'd love to do this walk bit the transport links especially at the end are a bit pants (I am from Leeds)

I thought it was busy but apparently numbers are down significantly this year.
We parked a car at Milngavie then caught a train back from Fort William.
