Which Cumulus Quilt - 250 or 350 - to Complement a 450?

Hello hikers :) I'm popping over to Poland in the next few weeks and plan on getting a Cumulus quilt and jacket, but I'm torn about which ones to get. I already have a -1° 450 quilt and want the new quilt to be less insulating; when my wife - who is a cold-sleeper - and I are on a trip together, she would use the 450, and for solo trips a second quilt would give me a better match for the expected weather.

For a jacket I think the Incredilite Endurance with 140g of down looks good; I have the Decathlon down jacket but found it isn't especially warm while sitting inside a chilly bothy, having only ~70g of down.

For the new quilt, which would be better: the 4° 250 or the 2° 350? The 350 was my first thought - warmer is better, right! - but now I'm thinking that the 250 + the Incredilite Endurance would be enough for cool spring & autumn nights, while the 250 alone would also do well in warmer ones.

Which would you get? 🛒

I'll just plug the comforters because **** it, I have one, I really like it, they're specced better, cheaper, and always overlooked.

I'd get the 250 for more flexibility. I think the 350 and 450 would have too much overlap.

Thanks guys, it's good to get the guidance, the 250 is on order

@kvragu The comforters do indeed look good, but the lightest they have at the moment is the 400 which is too warm for my needs.

Don't know if it fits your needs but the Primelite, if you're after down (app 190gms) is very nice-very good weight in down (greater than the Incredilite) to the overall weight of the item and the size of a Grapefruit when squashed up. No bells and whistles just good warmth.

Yeah, I've thought about the Primelite but two things put me off: the thinner fabric + the skinnier zip will likely give problems, given my carelessness, but it's definitely a better warmth/weight ratio.

As an aside, what is it with manufacturers making the hoods on all their jackets loose enough to be helmet-compatible? Does even one in a thousand get anywhere near a cam or a rope? </rant>

I’ve thought about getting the primelite as well but I’m not so sure about the size. I’ve heard the arms are kinda short
