I like the look of this stand.

My preference is for lightweight, fast and easy to deploy camping kit, I'm more a walker than a camper so here is where I bail lol.

I do a lot of hammocking, well not so much recently due to work, but have swung in all sorts of weather from lashing it down with rain, to snow and very high winds, it's my preferred way to sleep, but as said earlier, look at location first to see if trees are available? another option is the DD Superlight Jungle hammock, comes with spreader bars and can be used as a Bivvy also, extra waterproof ground sheet needed, If I'm not using an underquilt I use a bivvy bag in the hammock, this keeps the inflatable mat and sleeping bag in place.

In answer to the OP's question: Always - I'm a front sleeper and cannot imagine anything more uncomfortable than a hammock - your back is permanently bent the wrong way!

Your back is bent the wrong way ONLY if you're using the wrong hammock, there are a variety of hammocks nowadays that offer 'flat' lays. I myself am a wriggler, I switch from back to side and sometimes on my belly, that depends on a lot of things, hammock choice allowing.
