What have you bought?

I've had 4 pairs of the Quest 4 GTX boots. Not through choice mind.
They fall apart/leak after 6-8 months and Salomon kept replacing them. Could have kept it up for years.
Shame as they are comfy out of the box and decent in their short life span.

Never again.
Wife and I the same, both had to replace pairs through warranty, eventually just gave up on the replacements to, last I saw one of my pair has gone to the mouse and spider re-homing project in the shed.

Won't ever buy Salomon again, they've had more chances than most get with me, the biggest shame of it is they really were up there with the comfiest out of the box boots I've ever had.

I might have a pair of size 10 trail shoes in the cupboard actually that have been worn very minimally (5 times max) and not for 5 ish years, that someone can have for postage, can't remember the style, nothing fancy and not goretex

These actually

But they probably look more like these now

Looks like it's a universal problem, judging from these comments and my own experience, I'll be needing to replace them very soon. I might well be going back to Salewa, will be worth the extra 70€ or so for the longer lifespan.
