next time I cross the border I’ll put a fresh pack through your letter box
Def. I would eat that no question.
Ya, I'd open it and if it smells/looks funky, then bin it, otherwise I'd eat it.
Can anyone comment on sizing? Like haglofs ? Rab ? Smaller ?
And anyone used one as reviews are hard to find..
From a. Review on Montane...
with this jacket
I buy Montane because I just know the level of quality and durability they produce. I am not a climber I don't have a head for heights unfortunately but I wanted a durable lightweight, breathable, water repellent jacket I could use when walking in the mountains and coastal walks. I have worn the jacket in storm force winds, driving rain although not for too long and warm wet walks on the beach and it hasn't let me down. The fit is superb, I have a 45" chest so went for the XXl and the arms are not gorilla like and there is enough room underneath for a lightweight fleece or just a base layer. The cut of the jacket fits very well with a lower back hem and plenty of room to move arms in all directions without the jacket riding up. The two Napoleon chest pockets are generous in size and perfectly placed. The Chameleon LT fabric is tough yet light and keeps you dry on the inside with it's breathable structure.

XXL for a 45“ chest sounds like they could be over sized. I would have put XL nearer to 45 chest.
From. Other sites... Between the reviews it's Sounding like the sizing comes up smaller than the label.
I have quite a lot of Montane tops and Jackets, normally a XL in all other types, ME, Rab etc, but XXL in Montane.
I have one. Love it. Like Rab sizing for me. Thin and long arms. I did not find it like the sizing of old Montane so unfortunately are telling a different story to Rob H. Sorry to be contradictory. Let me know if I can help further as have it next door in XL.
If only it was a smock..... then it would be perfect.
And a further review on UOG:
Strangely this, and the lighter ME Aerofoil jacket are categorised as softshell so are hidden away in you filter by windshirt on some retailers.
Too narrow in the forefoot for me, so returned :-(
A great help all and pushed the button on a medium in black ..
Fingers crossed it fits...
Inreach Mini £229
Inov8 ultrapants ... my old ones are getting a bit tatty and will be used for winter cycling. Maybe wishful thinking but I want a new pair ready to get into some alpine snow in the spring
Looks like there will be a few aethers in the hills next year!
A couple of 12" * 12" ALoksaks, 31g, I like to use one to carry all the small backpacking trinkets. Though not indestructible I found they last me years, I was surprised to find the cheapest (~£10) was to order from the US & was expecting snail mail but they arrived in 2 weeks.
Hope not.... Cause that means it's silin dahn but who cares if you've an Aether on
3 times a charm? @Heltrekker?
Hope so, as these are my 3rd pair in just over a month!
Fingers crossed!! Happy with my girls version, but sadly no chance to give them a proper try out 'cos we're indefinitely in lockdown
Just curious mate but whats with the string on the heel?
Its to help pull them on...
What's the verdict on the Prism @Gordon
I've got the pull-on in my basket
@Diddi It's steel wire... Part of the fit system and blister-free guarantee.
@edh also right as I figure you presumed Diddi meant the heel pull tab.
Ha not the pull tab, the steel wire as you say it is.
Something new I had not come across... ...
