InReach Mini for a good price from Go Outdoors, already 10% off, got them to price match with OS for a further £20 saving, then they knocked another 10% off.

Hope it arrives in time for my Argyll bikepacking trip at the weekend

Had to giggle when I rang Pudsey branch to check for stock and had to explain what it was, guy said he'd never heard of them and they didn't sell that type of thing, only Garmin watches.

@Shewie @Munro277 I'd be interested in which service you plumped for and your reasoning if it is relatively easy to explain.

I'll be taking up the Freedom Recreation plan Phil, I'll probably only carry it on solo trips so don't need it active all the time

I did the same, but worth spreading the word that u have one, mine has had more use by other people than by myself.

I went for the Freedom safety plan as I don't use the In reach for tracking or send many texts. As its only £15 a month I very rarely suspend it.

    We like ponchos.
I found the two way zip on my small knot mid makes it useable as a poncho too.
A good hat is essential though.

I pay £25 not sure why I choose it now ! Think it offered more accurate tracking but with the sad demise next year of Social hiking I may drop this down another level

Old, but super clean mini 4x4 for missus. Will come in handy when we go for walks.

I haven’t bought it yet... but there’s a Patagonia micro puff for £120.

My down puffy is more gaffer tape than coat these days:shifty:
