Yes, the first thing I'd pack in my bugout bag is a big heavy hardcover as a luxury item :p

Marmot Ether Driclime Hoody from Amazon. They’ve stopped making these but there are still some on Amazon. 230g. I own the older Driclime jacket too. This is lighter and has a hood. Will double up in warmer months instead of fleece and windshirt.

I've recently got back into mountain biking and I'm loving it. I never expected to buy another one, but my youngest son started so I had to so that I could take him out.

Last time I saw platforms like that on a shoe it was 1976. :D

If he's feeling the lack of height so much, I've still got a pair I bought in 1976 which would help lift him up a bit and save some of the neck ache. :whistling:

Ha ha Canberras the place I meant by north. I was enjoying the wonder of Melbourne (is it about 600ks south?) in flares I could fit a small family in --each leg!

    Just came across this
    Design:
    • Adjustable, scuba-style hood for streamlined protection
    • Adjustable hem for secure fit
    • Elasticated sleeve cuffs for secure fit
    • Reflective prints for enhanced visibility at night
    • Zippered chest pocket
    • Reinforced clip-on loop for attaching to carabiner or pack
    • Packs into chest pocket
Nylon and 100gms. Nice blue version with red touches too.
I wonder just how waterproof it is?
Strangely alluring at about 30 British quids in the conversion.
If it was just a wee bit cheaper...
Might risk it and sew some front vents in.
Was just looking at getting another Lightheartgear jacket. I could make my own and at half the weight and price.
