@Dave V What’s the sizing like? Had my eye on these for a little while but haven’t gone for it yet. Did you buy them directly from Liteway or have you found another source?

Sizing is good mate, I'm an 10.5-11 in most shoes. With a thick pair of socks on there is still room inside. The fabrics and stitching all looks very good.

I got mine in the sale at Backpackinglight.dk

Recieved an arcteryx cormac zip neck top yesterday from sportpursuit. Like it a lot already, a nice thin, light base layer with a loads of room, more t-shirt fit than base layer, lost count of the amount I've bought & returned for making me look akin to a sumo wrestling cyclist.

Hey Dave was the 3mm mat from the same place? Ta

I would happily have bought one of these had I known of them. Now you and Whitty are making me get one I reckon.

Yeh both from Backpackinglight.dk the 3mm pad is 111g I have three others here that I go for friends that are all within a few grams. Little in the way of comfort but will be great for antislip, pack pad, sit pad, getting changed out of wet gear ect

It is a lot cheaper buying Evazote from Extremtextil which has a sheet of 1x2mx4mm at 33 euros shipped to France as opposed to 0.48x1.9mx3mm for 41 euros. I believe @JKM linked to a UK company that had very good prices on Evazote and Plastazote (but their P&P outside the UK was horrendous).

EDIT: found the link to the UK company but it looks like they may only have Plastazote now.

I have a small 50cm section of 4mm from Extrem that was in the remnant section a while back, its quite a coarse texture and holds a fold easier than some ccf. The 50cm section is not far off the weight of the entire 3mm pad I got today

Can't see how it would be better than the Olight i1r EOS

Interesting. So Backpackinglight.dk has Evazote 30 while Extremtextil has Evazote 50 (they have 30 as a category but there is no product under it).

Was I wrong, wouldn't it have longer run time than my Olite?

Needed to pick something up from Muji so I chucked in some of their freeze-dried stuff too. Some of next week's lunch breaks will turn into tasting sessions.

Updates will probably be posted under the MUJI freeze-dried meals topic.

I had a closer look at these and the soups are made in Japan while the freeze-dried meals are made in Italy (hence the risotto or pasta). Their pouch curries are made in Poland but I gave these a miss as I can get UK-made ones cheaper at the local Indian minimart.

Just bought a pair of Montane Prism Pants for winter camping. Very impressed how small they pack down. Looking forward to testing them out this winter.

How’s the sizing ? With montane I normally have to size up and with short legs they don’t appear to offer leg lengths as they do in their trousers.

Yes, you do have to size up

Picked up a patagonia R1 Hoody sweater in aberdeen tk maxx today for £39, time will tell wether I wear it or punt it on ebay, got a funny feeling I already have the non-hooded version somewhere.

they had a couple of nice primaloft mountain hardware jackets as well

I'd agree with that. I have a pair of XL Terra pants on today, I'm 38" waist. They fit but like a very close fitting glove.
