Microchip cat flap, arrived today.

On the plus side looks easy to fit and the cars microchip works it.

On the minus side is going to cause drafts. Might have to make a polystyrene foam blocker and only enable kitty flap when away overnight.

That's lighter than my PHD one and I really like that.

What size is yours?

What is the low temp rating?

Just watch the sizing. I got mine about three weeks back in XL weighs 198gms- 50% down! That ratio is almost unheard. Superb. Toray Airtastic outer. Not Quantum like the Climalite. Bought mine to work near zero or a bit beyond static for what that's worth. Have another pullover for reference with 70 gms of down and that has been good to about 2-4 really comfy degrees for my use. I may be older than yourself tho' and feel the cold more recently.

Mine is a medium. No temp rating given but comfortable down to freezing at the very best though I'm a warm person. Bought it for around camp in 3 season conditions. Over a base layer and hooded grid-fleece I'll be toasty in most conditions outside of full winter temps and winds.

No worries, but I think Eltee you meant that for Mr.Ed?
Certainly agree with you on the the temperature and use/application tho' Eltee (tho' no grid fleece for me-a Kiuiu Peleton97 Hoody and a beanie ) given my other jacket and that has a proven amount of down at 47% down to fabric-Argon67. Could also chuck the Cumulus under my Apex Hooded number for real cold.

Yes I meant it for @edh End of a long day/week!
As I've yet to use it in anger and I do little winter camping my judgement is a little conservative. I could easily throw my Montane Aero event smock or even my Rsb Generstor over the top of the Primelite dependent on conditions.
Cumulus are known for using top quality down and not overstating the quantity they use. I know quite a few lads who use their quilts and I've yet to hear a single complaint. I have an older model Cumulus bag that I use for all my camps, a Quantum 200, and its brilliant down to freezing with baselayers and a beanie.

I have become a bit of a Cumulus fan of late.

More purchases on the back of the sale of my GoPro 4: Petzl e+lite, Treadlite 45L Polypaq pack liners, Treadlite Medium CF Stuffsack, Treadlite CF FAK pouch and Cicerone's 'Walking The Cape Wrath Trail'.

Chipping away at that base weight and preparing to take it places :)

An Alpkit Mocha pot. Mainly for home use, but I did take it camping with the scouts last weekend. Decent coffee makes that sort of camp feel a lot more pleasant.

Luxe Silnylon Chaps. I've never tried chaps before do I'm interested to see how they work out.
I had some heavyweight MYOG (Thanks Mum!) ones maybe 40 years ago. PU coated and they worked well with less sweatyness than trousers and easy to put on but back in those days I wore quite a long cagoule. I'm not sure how they would work with my current rain jackets. Maybe with a short rain kilt.

I think you're right about their use with current rain jackets. I'll be using them with a Packa or a MYOG Driducks Packs.

Well.... I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about with these eastons...

From valley and peak of course....
I wasn't prepared to pay postage so got some ti pegs aswell:sneaky:

Especially after last weekend.... would of felt abit more relaxed with these.

For the size I was pleasantly surprised how light they feel...... even being slightly heavier than my groundhog and naturehike pegs (which do seem short) 20190927_170152.jpg
