I have got one of those, and the vest too.
Very nice kit, comfortable and warm for the weight. Be be wary of using it with a pack too much though. I sent a vest back as after two days it was pulling little bobbles of insulation out through the material.
Was that pertex Quantum version or the point zero?

With the snow melting in Scotland, so did my plans :(
So I thought a trip to la palma in 5 weeks will brighten me up :)
Does anyone know can you just cancel ryanair flights? They wanted more than the ticket was worth on a transfer/cancellation of the original but couldn't find an option for just refund, I did pay with paypal, maybe there's an avenue there? Cheers

Following with interest. We just didn't turn up for our flight as it was cheaper to write it off than change it or cancel. It.
If. They cost. A fair whack, we pay for the feature that claws the bulk of the payment.
We've just booked for Ireland. I see the cabin allowance is smaller than a size 10 shoe box in volume!

Yeah its madness, they wanted a €70 odd fees on a €60 odd flight :confuseded:
I would have thought they'd have to give you something, but not that I can see.
Going anywhere nice in Ireland?
(if going to the west be prepared of big possibility's to see **** all at around 400m+ :angelic:)

@Chiseller Donegal bound are ye again? Bluestacks are very nice up that neck of the woods aswell.
On the ryanair note, I got this from their web site "Once a Ryanair flight is operational, and does not have a delay exceeding 2 hours, then it is not possible to get a refund. All Ryanair flights are changeable but they cannot be cancelled". So no go there & paypal don't give an option to cancel payment once its gone through & refund doesn't have an option good to use either in this case.
I'll be checking to see if the flights were delayed at the least.

A bit off topic, but @Taz38 brought it up...
I was in Mountain Warehouse today (ok, ok but I was buying a cheap bum bag type thing). There was a teenager with his dad, buying an entire DofE kit list. And I mean everything.

Should I have intervened? I think it was up to 30kg when I left:frown:. I didn’t know if it was politic to advise...
