My wife has just decided that she's slid off her (once was mine I think) 300 year old Hyalite equipment peak ac pad once to often.

Shes tried my thermarest Xlite and isnt keen on the width of that either (same size as peak ac) but does prefer the baffle direction, so having a look around we found the Thermarest NeoAir Venture in a large, Shes 6.2 so would like a bit longer as well although that's probably not as much a deal breaker as the extra width.

My opinion (never having used or seen it) is, it's colder and twice as heavy.

Anyone got/used one with a more hands on opinion or indeed anyone with a good recommendation for a pad that meets the wider (than 51cm), decent ish insulation for an April to September in Scotland hiker and reasonably light

I have the large Xtherm because I found the regular width too narrow. It's not the rectangular max version but the slightly tapered large one. Light enough for me at about 500g and long and wide enough for me not to roll off during the night. Also lovely and warm.

I have the regular venture and find it comfy.

I'm actually a bit of a tube, I never realised you get the Xlite longer and wider as well, only thought to look when safetythird mentioned the xtherm L. Thanks all
