A wee lesson (or 2) would help …..
Nitecore NU25 headband mod. Thanks to Paul for the 2mm shock cord and double cord lock. The "knots" are just taughtline hitches. I tried different lacing and settled on that shown All up weight now 33g. I recon a head torch is essential safety kit and there's no excuse not to carry one at this weight.
A couple of pole connectors (18mm = 64g & 16mm = 60g) using these FLIP LOCKS, makes assembling a long pole from the two lower sections of a couple of walking poles quick, easy & strong. The 'locks' proved a lot easier to fit than the BD ones since they just push onto a square cut tube, the 'squeeze' bit is a separate plastic section. Took all of 10mins to cut two 15cm lengths of old pole & add the locks.
Seems cheaper than the BD one’s too. IIRC it was about £20 to do a set of pacer poles.
A lot cheaper, <$8 for 4.......I'd have no issues using them to convert a set of twist lock poles.
Did some drilling yesterday
Fiskars K40, pretty light knife similar to Mora, but lighter - 69g with sheath now. Not as durable as a typical Mora though.
Toothbrush deluxe extended handle
Made the other day...I know a bit obsessed but love to tinker/build
Zipped roll top
Not really 'made' but customised.
A little silicone loop band from Aliexpress keeps the lid in its place and can be used to lift off the hot lid when cooking. Also added silicone tubing on the handles of the pot.
Teaching myself inkscape. brain is shredded after a simple logo lol

What size is that silicone tubing please @Lempo ?
It's either the 3mm or 5mm, unfortunately I don't remember which one, since I ordered 3 sizes. I can check tomorrow if I find which one has less left. here's the order:
from this guy https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ishopgroupltd?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754
After I asked the question I went in search and found this: https://speedsterstoves.co.uk/pot-rests/pot-handle-insulation.html
3mm inside 5mm OD
I've ordered a metre of similar stuff from Ebay.
As well as the handle hack, I'm thinking of modifying one of those £5 titanium windshields from Aliexpress to slide onto my pot over a ring of this silicone tube so that it can be used with a canister top gas stove. A bit like a short Caldera cone that just hangs down from the bottom of the pot about 2" so no danger of the canister heating up. I'll cut extra holes at the top and a slot for the handles. Just an idea at the moment.
Stream of consciousness that knows no punctuation.
So I get reminded when you make your windscreen.
Re PM, Yes that's deffo sail window mate. Used on dingy and windsurf sails for viability.
