I literally just ordered the initial version Tinypump 6.5 hours ago. Don't think I would have been swayed by this new version; don't need the lantern capability -- didn't even select the old version that includes a light for a few USD more. But the multi-tool approach (inflator, deflator, light, powerbank(?)) might be nice for newcomers

I have the original without the lantern, but last time I used it, it started acting up a bit. I ordered the X with a lantern, not X2. It's only about 13g more than the plain model and I can use the lantern inside the tent.

Just a quick Pad-Pal Update:
I made a better looking video describing the project/product.

I finished up creating adapters for more pads. Currently Pad-Pal can work with Thermarest Winglock, Big Agnes double flat valve, Exped valves, REI flash pad valves, the newer Nemo Tensor flat valve, Sea to Summit flat valve, and the older Thermarest Classic Twist valve (requires a special motor though).

I also have a working V4 motor control board that adds USB-C to USB-C cable compatibility (previously only USB-A to USB-C cables worked) and just placed an order for a large number of the V4 boards to be made.

A slight redesign on the fan duct has shaved 1.3 grams off the unit while also making it stronger. The next batch of Pad-Pals (after getting rid of the 17 left from the second batch) is likely to weigh 10.2 grams on average (with thermarest winglock adapter) and be able to withstand 130 lbs of axial loading force and 35 lbs of radial point loading. So I am pretty pleased with that :D

Edit: oh and Mercantile Ultralight should receive their sample units sometime this week to assess if its something he would consider keeping in stock for the European market. So we'll see where things end up in a few weeks.

And of course, there is always the option of making your own! The project is open source, and here is a link to the GitHub repository with all the files and documentation needed to make your own :)

The 2X has a better air pump design (generates more pressure, but same flow rate) and has a magnet, what allows to clip it to iron-metallic surfaces.

I wonder what the R-value of the Ionosphere 5.5 is! To be fair to Rab, if the value is high enough, they could have a winner on their hands at that price.

Definitely getting the NXT Xtherm Max. Wondering if Jan the 1st is when retailers get to order or if that's when they can sell them?
