Scarp 2 - packed length

Evening all,

So I am umming and indeed ahhhing about pulling the trigger on a Scarp 2 for my partner and I.

Have been doing an awful lot of reading and think it ticks most of the boxes.

However, the user review on Tarptent's own site mentions the awkward length of the packed tent.

See: https://www.tarptent.com/product/scarp-2/#tab-id-4

But what's the packed length? I'm not sure how Scarps pack up, but is packed length just the width of the pitched tent? Am I'm being really dense?

Anyone any experience of using one of these?

If you look at the spec page it will give you the packed size. I think it is possible to pack it smaller if you pack the poles separately but the pitchlok corners are still quite long but they are essential to the space. I use a scarp 1 and really like it. The size is not an issue for me as I just slip it down the inside of my pack.

Looks like it is 51cm long but that must be the pole sections. The pitchloks are shorter than this. You should give them a shout with any questions as they are great to deal with and answer very quickly. If you do order one, it is a good time to order some extra Easton pegs.
