Odd Man
Thru Hiker
I've used RockTape (any other kinesiotape will do) successfully to keep blisters at bay on walks. Last multi-day one I had used RockTape to protect a small blister, but ran out of RockTape as missus developed knee issues so I had to use long strips to support her patella. I then had to borrow medical tape for my own use and it just didn't work for me at all, as it lacks any stretch which reduces the mobility of the area and thus puts strain on other areas.
Here's a great instructional of how to apply RockTape yourself
Full disclosure, I'm a RockDoc myself, but I don't gain anything from promoting this. I just like the product and carry it with me on all my hikes.
