thanks all. Still pondering. As an aside, currently in the South of France where thermometers are getting a pasting (temperature hasnt dropped below 35 Celcius all week and due to hit 40 C tomorrow). At night its disgusting hot in the (non A/C) villa we have so have reverted to sleeping on the tiled floor to cool down and so far no issues :)

I might go back to CCF and (like Mole) go for the thin mat approach which reduces arm flop!

We use the Multimat 25 together with radiator reflective material under it for when it gets colder.
But we only 3 warm season anyway.

still using a 30 + year old ccf mat---10mm thick---4oo gms---shiny one side --so easily cleaned if put directly on ground-------all the failures in above posts don t inspire me to change

time to dig out the ccf mat....

i will have to measure it as I am getting a bit soft in my old age...

I used a z-lite with a thermarest prolite on top the last 4 nights, not super comfy but adequate, nights were damp and cool. The OH was cozy on his rollmat and new alpkit Dumo.
