Malaka, my dog can get a tighter pitch than me, so not much of a challenge :D

If the kids can pitch THAT good, can't you bring em to the next meet?

Sounds like a bag of marshmallows and i could bride up to put my tent up :whistling:
Do they cook/boil water as well? :bag:

Mind you, knowing James's colourful language and movie preferences, maybe not a great idea to take kids :D:D:D:D:D

Crikey I laughed hard when I read that.
Haven't heard that for a quite a while.
Used to work with a full crew of Greek/Ozzies amongst others, and the Malakas and much more were always flying.

One for the Patrick Swayze fans. I know you're out there. Bodhi's dream wave from Point Break in the distance -but not the 50 year storm. Bloke taking off on a nice chumpy 1.5 m. 7.30 this morning's power walk/jog, seven ks in, seven to go.

Do you use the genuine Esbit tabs, if so, where do you recommend I buy them. I ask because I dug out my Esbit cookset yesterday to give it another go and boiled 400ml of water in 8 mins using 8g of tabs. Thinking of taking it out for a night or two after lockdown, so need to stock up.

A little headlands loop near Falmouth today. And a bonus I got to take my new G4-20 out too.

I do, but others seem to swear by the cheaper army blocks. It's hit and miss with prices.. It's just down to Google and shipping.
I bought 3 boxes of 27g tabs to go with the cooker and break them as I need.
Good result with the 8g boil. I did 7g for 300ml with a short lived roll.

Old school 3x3 or 4.5² dd?

Tried some ex army hexy tabs in the past and the pan was sooted to hell, never had that with Esbit tabs. Started thinking that if I only need to boil water, the cookset weight + fuel suits my needs. Plus I can judge the amount of fuel per gm that I would need for each brew/meal.

    DD 3x3
    Had it some years.
We use it when family/car camping usually.

I'm kind of looking at the superlight s atm for sneaky bivy's.
But I also have an old quechia 3x3 that I might cut a bit smaller instead.

    That meat looks yummy.

Put my DD 3x3 up on the lawn a few days ago, like a palace for one, also considering the lightweight version.

Very neat pitch. I was experimenting with my own 3x3 Ali tarp a week or two ago, set up in imitation of the little Arcixi/Knot shaped tarp that's been talked about on here a lot recently. Works well, albeit that its 500g rather than three hundred and something...
