Carneddau camp by turnerminator, on Flickr
That looks nice. Where exactly?
Cwm Lloer, below Carnedd Fach ??
It looks nice, but it was an awful night. It was so boggy, my tent sank. Pegs wouldn't go in and rocks came hurtling past all night. I had to shovel the mountains of rotting Pony onto the Rat nest holes to stop at least a few hundred from getting out. No-one should camp there.
It definitely wasn't Llloer near the crash site with views down the Ogwen valley either.
And I'm back.......
All the planning, fitness, health checks for your trip are all well and good.
Make sure your relatives have one as well
My Fathers heart attack ( minor according to Drs) almost caused mine when booking next day flights back from the USA.
Still, I placed my feet on the start point.
Photoshop would of been cheaper
Hope your Dad will be all right and I hope you can go back to the AT.
The arch at Amicola Falls State Park is one of my favourite AT clichés, do hope to get there one day.
That’s s pants mate, hope your dad is on the mend and you get back out there soon.
Many thanks he's set to come out of CCU in the next couple of days, subject to the norm then we'll see.
From what I saw I was in for the time of my life This is from the first 1/2 mile on the approach trail:
The closest stream to the right is the trail, under an inch of water flowing from the propper stream to the left.
Best wishes for your old fella and your return to get them shoes wet
All in the costs now mate, being retired It'll take about 10 years to save up again and
1. I'm not going back to work to earn it quicker.
2. If I wanted the Inheritance to travel, I would of stayed in the States the first time...
All the best to your dad.
Been there, done that with the next day flight from another continent...
That looks a tad damp. best of luck to your Dad.
Thanks. Not good is it? And the sitting down FFS
Was a bit, the Roar from the Falls was like a jet engine. Thanks.
Heres to a speedy recovery for your dad and it will always be there to do another day
The river Wharfe going over the weir at Garnetts Mill, Otley yesterday
EDIT: Blimey Martin! GWS to your dad!
Out wandering in the rain in the driest time of year and nice to see the seasons have well and truly changed with this flowering.
Looking forward (mainly) to what we get thrown next.
Here’s to a good recovery ...best laid plans and all that !
Many thanks, he's out and home. Tired but ordering me about so not that bad
A spot of Icelandic glacial trekking before the front moves in.
