As a self employed person, I find my boss is quite lenient with me taking time off. :)

Next week Loebas (my dog) turns two years old; time to introduce him to slightly longer walks in the hillier regions of Belgium.

We took an early train to Theux and followed a 18 km waymarked loop around the town.

It was wet, muddy and fairly cold but the dog had an amazing time.

Warning: dog-heavy report coming up... Sorry in advance.

    Puddle is dog approved.

Every time I tried to figure out a way to go around a mud puddle, the dog just went straight in. Fairly efficient way of walking though.

    C'mon, human...

The uphills went a lot easier for the dog then for me, obviously. Kudos to him for waiting every time I came stumbling after.

Enjoying the view/figuring out the way home/scouting for prey.

Lovely little stream in the Ardennes.

    C'mon human... part 2.

The above picture was taking just before a massive - but relatively short - rain shower. The dog didn't mind. I on the other hand...

    We're going home already human?

Safe to say he was pretty dirty on the way home. Thank God I brought a towel to take care of the worst bits of mud.

He slept for 3 hours on the train.

    Great day outside!

Our first camp of 2020 - and our first ever in January in Turkey.
But it was the third night that we liked the most.
