More interested in the fabric, it looks fantastic! I know it's a dp laminate and I've seen wilderness threadworks are using it but otherwise...
From what I've found online the lighter (outdoor) grade is LS07 which is about 140g/sqm, approx 25g/sqm lighter than VX03. As a comparison the 50D DCF hybrid stuff is 102g/sqm. I think the LS07 tear strength might be less than the VX03 but abrasion resistance a lot better.
The abrasion resistance of my 4.7oz MLD prototype 1.2oz/yard silnylon pack isn't all that good, but the patches I've stuck on it over the years are holding well...
Interesting. Never quite sure of vest type straps, always seem to be perfectly place for doing nasty things to boobs. BTW where'd you get the pics from? There's nothing where I usually look for info.
Instagram, they post quite regularly on there on both their individual and the palante account. Comments often worth reading as well.
That's weird, I follow both the guys and palante and those haven't shown up, silly instagram. Edit: and now they show up. baffled.
I heard on one of John z'so videos he was designing a shelter, gave the impression it'll be 'A' frame to give head and foot hight.cubes at 6.5 Oz I guess. Difficult to get efficient use of 1.37m width with cat cut a frame so expensive I'd guess
Given John Z normally carries only one trekking pole I'd be guessing at a mid of some sort. He did say something about bug netting around the bottom, will be interesting to see what it is. As Enzo says likely to be expensive.
6.5oz There was a pic of a MYOG shelter on Instagram a while ago, looked a bit like the hexamid style of mid but with different bug netting
Site updated again, now able to order, 3 torso lengths to chose from, lead time of 3 weeks... you know you want to...
I do know I want to, it looks like my "perfect" pack. My bank account however has committed temporary suicide so I'll just have to wait.
