Exactly with I bought, asked for shoulder straps and belt in dyneema though. I guess they got swamped with orders for Arc hauls in cuben and decided to make the changes standard. He doesn't mention it but you clearly see that the inside of the belt is in 3D mesh also.

Ok, that's my wife's birthday present sorted then:D.
I've heard that they may have changed the vertical stays, and it looks from this video as if that could be true. I'd be glad to hear when you get yours @gixer. BTW, there are advantages to the Dyneema X - it's much quieter for one thing.
Edit: I just finished watching the video, and they have changed the vertical stays.

Looks good but can't help thinking that there is a little 'feature creep' happening. I love Z packs gear - have and original Hexamid , cuben Blast and pouches etc but they seem to be slowly adding features and weight. Don't get me wrong they are still superlight but some of the simplicity is missing.

Always the comfort / features / durability / cost / weight compromise :geek:

Agree. The Arc Blast seems perfect at the mo'. Please keep it like that.
Don't change for the sake of it.
MLD appear to find a model that works and then let it stay that way.

Some truth there, murpharoo, but as long as they keep the Zero, you can have a pack as simple as you like. Also, they're good about custom work, so I imagine you could still ask for the old style Arc Blast if you wanted. Personally I find the Arc Haul hip belt a big improvement, even though I was happy with the Arc Blast until I tried the Haul.
