Yet to go through the photos but I've cobbled together a short edit from Sweden
Great video, looks as though the night time temps would have been 'fresh'
Very beautiful. It looks like good Trailstar territory. I was hoping to see one of your MYOG packs, though .
Thanks As soon as the sun dipped it got quite cold, think it got to around freezing one night but otherwise fresh is probably a good description... apart from the night I spent about 2 hours out of the tent watching the northern lights wearing only a pair of Rohan leggings on my lower half legs were nithered.
Thanks William, I'd been so busy making myself a quiver of UL packs I didn't have time to make something with a little more capacity/load carrying capability... it's on the list...
Brilliant Matt, thanks for posting.
Great video Matt, lovely walking country.
It was made all the better for seeing the view out of the TS door at 1:44 - when the proverbial penny finally dropped here......
Is that view at 1:44 a dead-ringer or not for the back o' Gable with Windy Gap and Green Gable viewed from Looking Stead, Pillar. Somewhat explains the comment I made of the same view on your recent Pic of the Day! Or....then again maybe I'm just a complete idiot
Thanks Graham, must be some resemblance as I actually guessed what you were on about in the other thread!
How did you get on with the altars?
Had the 3s since January and really like them. The insoles can move around when they get soaked through but this is a known issue with them. One of mine shifted a little without me realising it on day 4 which caused a little bit of rubbing but no blister. Bit of gorilla tape stopped them slipping any more.
Just got the 3.5s to try
Excellent, couldn't get away with watching it in the office earlier
Good looking list too Matt, was there much you didn't use? It looks heavy on electronics but then you are filming. How did you do for food? Was it dehydrated for 9 days straight?
Not a lot I didn't use really, buffalo mitts, spare socks, sealskins, could have taken a lighter mid layer as well but was expecting more snow/cold weather in the middle section.
That lists not 100% accurate as I'm locked out of lighterpack at the mo but it's pretty close.
I'll probably do a post on my food at some point but yeah took a dehydrated main meal (firepot) every night. Took 750g food/day and made a bit of an effort to balance the proteins carbs and fats, seemed to work well and the amount worked out perfectly
A really nice report; will there be more? A triple combined video..
New Mac & new editing software so just getting to know it at the moment but I'll probably do some longer edits at some point, like 3 days at a time of around 10 mins/3days, something like that anyway. More for me to look back on though, always try to be conscious of videos dragging on a little. Be nice to get hold of Peters and Lee's footage as well and have it all to go at.
I'll probably attempt to string a few words together once I've been through all my photo's
Good stuff. Need to go for a month next time !
Nice video! Seems like you had a good time.
