I'm always suspicious when the photos seem to be deliberately avoiding letting you get a good view from the front with the the hood up. And "Engineered to be extremely lightweight" but no weight specified.
I don't think that Columbia are helping themselves here. Marketing a jacket based on its weight and not telling you what that weight is (not that they do so on any of their jackets). The Outdry jackets are probably of greatest interest for people wanting to use them for serious outdoor use (the aesthetics are probably an acquired taste as a fashion item...) but the designs don't really reflect that, specifically the hoods. Personally I think it is a pity as there is a lot more potential. I have a very cheap Outdry jacket that works very well, probably the best value waterproof jacket I have bought, but I like it despite is design deficits, particularly the hood.
