Crikey, pricing mine up on there as a mo comes out at £320... Maybe I shouldn't grumble too much then.
Yes, I noticed that too. I'll need a custom pack due to my torso height anyways, so might as well go for the whole hog. However, it's a lot more money now and I'm kicking myself not having ordered one earlier due to lack of funds, especially since I've been to Lake District twice earlier this year. It's great Tom's making money and is able to provide higher volumes, but I'm very happy that I got my Massdrop x Crown2 for around £100 for now. Once I dial up my gear more and start doing higher mileage, I'm defo interested in a full custom one to drop the pack weight.
Blimey charlie they're not cheap anymore Was thinking of a Prospector this winter but looks likes its out the window now!! Looks like he's taken all the good packs away. No load lifters anymore
Pricing is a very effective way to control the demand. If a price increase means the delivery times are cut by 50% I think most people are happy. Right now the demand is high, and the delivery times are very long. If the prices appear to be a bit too high, it's easier to run promotional discounts to pump up the demand (than trying to temporarily raise prices, which makes everyone unhappy and is difficult).
Materials costs probably also pay a part, I bought mine when the £/$ was at a 2 yr high of $1.43 back in April 18. Such exchange rates are just a distant memory now... I assume materials prices have been up to 20% higher at times and I am pretty sure time told me he bought through RBtR as DP would not sell direct in his quantities.
Even at 10% off it's quite spendy now. I have two, was going to get a third one but it's dropping down the list of priorities...
Nonetheless I still enjoy England (white shirts) regularly stuffing England (red shirts) at rugby in Cardiff.
