Anyone use these? I wear montbell trousers most days but have not used these?

You trading up to shell suit bottoms from chenille would be a start....

I have a pair of the As Tucas Millaris Pants, which I really like http://astucas.com/en/products/millaris-pants I believe Marco is going to be using an even better fabric soon.

I don't have the MontBell Dynamo trews but do have the jacket. I'd say the material is not as nice as the As Tucas stuff.

    Interesting, thanks.

The blurb is almost identical :)

I wear Montane Terra which are more or less windproof, if it's so bad I'm likely to chuck on my Berghaus Paclite trews

    Thanks for the edit.
I usually walk in 3/4 troops... and am considering cutting down some Terrace stretch....
Just want an uber light something to chuck on in towns when my other stuff is in the washer...
But to take some very lightweight tights and something like the MBs is the question.

The dynamos might be different to my wind pants but I wouldn't fancy walking round town in mine...you'd certainly look 'in da hood'....might get plenty people asking to you to score some 'meths'...but not the kind you can supply....

Believe me, you don't care on a long trip...

I use my Millaris trews around camp and to sleep in. Mine are in a Matt black that doesn't look too much like a shell suit. I have a pair of Montane Featherlight "Pants" which are shiny and look a little more dubious

I'll mail and ask about the new fabric.
Be nice to have some other European gear in the mix - thanks for drawing my attention to them.

I enquired about some Sestrals pants in the new fabric a couple of weeks ago , Marco said the new fabric should be up on the site by the end of the year, possible to pre-order via an email though. The new fabric is lighter with a better DWR :)

Yes - he's using a 28g/m2 Schoeller fabric now and will start production in the New Year I believe.

Now, the fashion choice of bright green or black
