Hi,all I've got the flat cat senior set up..I'm trying !! At home at least to cook bacon on an alloy pan on top of the windshield ..heat seems too much ..tried putting a 50 pence piece in..seemed ? A bit better .any other tips on how to reduce the heat output to allow me to cook ..bacon ?

depends how you want it cooked?

flat in a frying Pan is a no no on small meths stove IME.

I cook it acceptably in a Ti pan over a normal size flame. just keep stirring regularly and be happy to have non crispy curled up rashers. pour the juice on the bread after. yum.

I'm not familiar with this stove but you could try to reduce the burner to pot height by raising the burner or lowering the pot/pan?
This will reduce the oxygen and therefore reduce the output of the stove.

What about pre cooking it at home and then just giving it a bit of a warm up in camp, it's going to be a lot lighter to pack as well
