Same as mine
Great night out, but then the walk of shame. Always check before leaving.
I certainly hope so - I'll be delighted to look back on all this as paranoia!
Problem is, I thought things were moving inexorably toward more regulation well before the Hysteria Pandemic came along, which has merely given 'them' another excuse to accelerate the process. From a selfish perspective, all I'd wanted was another 20 years, tops.
Ok, now I have an image in my mind of these guys going "Regulate! Regulate!"...
Well i pulled the plug and booked a car and an apartment in dorset for a long weekend like any other hooligan missing Benidorm.
I feel shame, the burn in my visa and excitement to be back in the SWCP.
We've been invited for a week in Cornwall, a cottage to ourselves for free, touch wood the locals don't come with pitch forks!
I'll send you a Cornwall council approved covid mask...
I'll be waiting...
Can i be friends of whoever invited you please????
I'll introduce you, he's also invited all of my wife's brothers and partners/families. A cottage each so maintaining distancing.
We're very lucky, the budget for our summer holidays is now a voucher with BA after we cancelled our holiday to Italy. Couldn't have stretched to anything otherwise. Though I'm actually enjoying staying local. I've got to know the rights of way around my house much better.
Thats annoying, cant you push for a refund? The whole voucher thing sounds so dodgy...
It does, but fingers crossed it means next year's visit is paid for.
My sister is scared of flying, we were in going to meet up in Naples, she booked trains for the three of them, £2k, looks like she's not getting any of it back
We've been offered vouchers from BA - oddly they have cancelled the outward bound flight but not the return.. Think they have offered a refund on the 'booking' Mrs Davy still trying to get to the bottom of it as we don't want to get a voucher for one way only, the help-line is somewhat overloaded....
Far as I’m aware if you accept vouchers you loose all normal protection and if the airline goes under you have lost everything.
Refund and rebook when suits.
That's my concern, although I'd hope BA will not go under for lots of reasons.. but who knows...
Wouldn’t do it I know many that have sent threatening letters to various airlines to retrieve their monies
all have reluctantly accepted to refund, but weeks later and so far non have received any refunds.
I got refunded for both my flights, one for tenerife the other for athens, took some doing but as I payed by paypal I went through them. First one was hard, paypal decided on ryan air's favour & was only when I asked them to tell me how they came to that decision giving that i was in the right that they then favoured me & I got the refund. Second one was a bit of a nightmare, the time for response for ryan air kept being moved, paypal told me that they didn't guarantee cancelled flights (the page that informed you that their payment protection does cover cancelled flights from airlines is now gone), I wrote back & told them, that's ok when I made the booking the page that said you did was still online & that they had already given me a refund for a cancelled fight, after another while paypal wrote saying ryan air informed them that a voucher has been made for me, I wrote back & told them tell them to cancel it as I have yet to accept it. I got the second refund in the end, but what a mess.
I had no interest with vouchers, don't know if am even going to have the money to go anywhere let alone if the airline will.
My LNER train tickets to Scotland have been refunded with no fuss even though they were advance non refundable.
Booked flights to northern Sweden for this Friday with SAS. Because of Covid 19 had to cancel. Paid £350, they've refunded £60. They're not answering emails, not answering the phone. Their website just sends you round and round in circles. So, I'm not sure where to go now. Really gone off Scandinavian airways.
I had flights with BA to Majorca in June, Both outbound and Inbound were cancelled by BA. Called their Blue Tier cardholders number and got through quite quickly. Didn't press any of the option buttons, just held. Got a full refund which appeared in my account 2 weeks later.
Easyjet were a different animal. Had to ring them twice, once for a voucher and again to use the voucher to book a flight ro next years TGO. Found the best time to ring was at 8am just as the lines opened. Took about 20 or so attempts though.
